Umngane Safaris is actively involved at the Fold and forms part of the board.

The Fold is a private hostel for vulnerable and orphaned children. If you would like to visit The Fold during your stay, this can be easily arranged.

You will discover so much about elephants, whilst witnessing these beautiful animals intelligence, compassionate nature and sheer delight in interacting with their human companions.

The famous Pilansberg National Park is about a 2-hour drive from the lodge. Here you have a chance to see all the Big 5. Pack a picnic and enjoy a full day safari. You can drive yourself or Dawyn will drive you there in one of the Umndeni vehicles.

We fish Lake Jozini, bordering Swaziland and the beautiful Lebombo
mountains in the KwaZulu Natal province in Southern Africa. This is
one of the very few places home to the striped dog – as they are also
known.

We are very passionate about our fishing and enjoy spending time
on the water with our clients. You can enjoy fishing with normal
tackle or a fly rod for the serious fly fishermen.
